THE DEVIL AND THE BLUE SEA
Between the tempter's whispered lies,
And the ocean's soothing, endless skies,
I stand, torn, and lost in the tide,
The devil's fire, the sea's calm inside,
Tugging me, pulling me, which way to go,
A heart divided, with nowhere to flow,
Waves crash, the darkness draws near,
The siren's call, my soul's deep fear,
In this struggle, I'm lost at sea,
Searching for a beacon, a light to be,
To guide me through, to set me free,
And find my peace, in calm or stormy sea,
The waves keep rolling, the winds keep howling,
My heart's a battlefield, with no victor crowning,
I clench my fists, and try to decide,
Will I succumb to darkness, or let the ocean be my guide?
The devil whispers 'yield', the sea says 'be strong',
In this battle, my soul's the prize, where I belong.
The stars above, a twinkling show,
A celestial map, to help me go,
Through the choppy waves, and the darkest night,
I'll follow the light, and make it to the light,
The devil's voice, a fading whisper now,
As I claim my strength, and take the helm somehow,
The sea's vastness, a reflection of my soul,
A journey inward, to make myself whole,
The waves crash strong, but I'll learn to ride,
And in the silence, I'll find my inner tide,
I'll rise above, the waves' wild sway,
And chart my course, come what may,
The ocean's depths, a mystery to explore,
A journey within, to find my true core,
In the stillness, I'll hear my heart's voice,
And choose the path, that leads to my choice,
The devil may tempt, the sea may roar,
But I'll stand firm, and ask for more.
